故事发生在新年来临之夜，传说每年的这个夜晚，死神就会来到人间挑选一个罪孽深重的人来驾驶他的马车。这次被选到的是个抛妻弃子又嗜酒如命的流浪汉，在流浪汉由于自己的作风问题而即将被夺走生命时，一个孱弱的修女用基督之爱拯救了他。Returning home from an ordinary day at the office, Virgílio finds a rather disturbing message on his answering machine: Clara informs that she is leaving him. Virgílio is used to women leaving him, for him it is even more a certainty than gravity, but he has no recollection of this so-called Clara. He panics, wonders if he's seriously ill or amnesiac, runs to his shrink, thinks...。Malvís (Alfredo Landa) is sick of working like crazy for nothing. He'd rather become a bandit, that's much better, he's gonna be the fearful Fendetestas! He'll spread panic in the woods of his region. But there's a little problem: there aren't much people living in his region, everyone knows everyone and everyone is so poor, so is gonna be difficult that someone takes Malvís/Fe...。
