该作改编自刘宇昆短篇小说《弧》，电影的主人公是世界上首位获得不老不死能力的女性Rina（芳根），她以30岁的外貌持续着没有终结的人生。。根据徐淦生电影剧本《白家雀》改编清末，古都北京有个叫桂山破落大户以房产抵押得到一只羽毛全白的"白家雀"，并由此引发出一连串曲折动人的故事。大妞、二妞姐妹因“白家雀之死”被骗进王爷府，结果大妞被王爷奸污后含恨而死；二妞不畏强暴，奋力反抗。最后在朋友们的帮助下，她逃出王爷府，奔向心目中向往的没有罪恶、充满善良自由的地方。 全剧提示了清朝末年政府欺软怕强、软弱无能、欺压百姓的腐败景象，展示了一批爱国志士和普通百姓奋起反抗，为自由抗争的精神。 客串：李金斗、姜昆、大山等。Set in present day New Delhi, Gulmohar tracks the final four days, leading up to Holi, of the Batra family as they pack their belongings to move out of their thirty-four year old family home.
